Hi, I’m Cheryl.
I write award-winning fiction as Cheryl Denise Bannerman and practical nonfiction as Cheryl Powell. Bannerman Books is where those two sides of my writing life come together.
I’m best known for the Anna Romano cozy mystery series, but my collection also includes women’s fiction, poetry, children’s books, guided journals, and resources for aspiring and independent authors. I create stories that comfort, captivate, inspire reflection, and occasionally cook up a little murder.
Storytelling has also shaped my professional life. For nearly 30 years, I’ve used immersive, story-driven experiences through my corporate learning firm to keep even the most serious professionals engaged.
When I’m not plotting my next whodunit, I’m usually bingeing British crime dramas, dancing carefully on the treadmill, handwriting notes in cryptic cursive, or sharing my home-cooked creations on Instagram.
